1. Who we are

Artists Rule The Universe ("ARTU", "we", "us") is a technology platform that provides professional administrative, cloud storage, and digital marketing tools to working artists and independent music professionals.

2. What you're agreeing to

By creating an account or using ARTU you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

3. Our commercial model

• Zero commission on your sales: Users retain 100% of revenue generated on our shop tools, subject only to raw, external third-party payment processing fees.
• Infrastructure at cost price: We provide direct, margin-free access to cloud infrastructure utilities. Platform tools are provided directly at cost with no commercial profit markups.
• Curated streaming: Approved artists get access to transparent streaming dashboards and direct royalty distribution workflows.

4. Membership and payment

ARTU operates on a utility billing structure combined with a standard flat-rate base membership fee starting from a $3 USD monthly minimum. This base fee covers standard account maintenance and core system administration. All additional infrastructure utility usage (including data storage, transactional email delivery, video call hours, and social media post scheduling) is tracked dynamically and billed at cost on your monthly renewal date. Payment processing is securely handled by trusted third-party networks.

5. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Your content

You own your music, writing, images and everything else you upload. You grant ARTU a limited, revocable licence to host, display and stream that content on the platform solely to execute the requested software functions. Deleting your content terminates this licence. We do not sell or license user media files to external entities. You confirm you have the full legal rights and clearances for all uploaded content, samples, and artwork.

7. Prohibited platform use

• Uploading material you do not hold explicit intellectual property rights to.
• Harassing other members, or using ARTU to abuse, dox or threaten anyone.
• Scraping, mass-downloading, or attempting to reverse-engineer the platform infrastructure.
• Utilizing the software or storage features for any illegal activities under applicable local law.

We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

8. Streaming workflows

The platform's media library features human-curated distribution. Account registration does not guarantee immediate distribution placement. We reserve the right to manage library catalog standards and remove tracks if rights or technical quality criteria are unmet.

9. Third-party services

We integrate specific infrastructure suppliers to power features like payment processing, automated email delivery, and cloud file storage. Their independent terms apply directly to the sub-utilities they power.

10. Account termination

You can close your account at any time via your user dashboard panel. We may periodically update these terms, updating the "Last updated" date above. Material adjustments will be notified via your registered email address.

11. Liability

ARTU software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for elements that cannot legally be restricted.
